Leadership Change at Gantner: Johann Hofer Becomes New CTO

Gantner

Gantner is undergoing a significant transition: Johann Hofer will take over the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from Franz Dünser, who, after 25 years with the company, will move into an advisory role. This change not only marks the end of an era but also the beginning of an exciting new phase focused on innovation and customer orientation.

New Gantner CTO Johann Hofer, Franz Dünser remains as a technical consultant

After 25 years, we bid farewell to Franz Dünser as CTO of Gantner. However, it’s not a complete goodbye – rather, it's a planned transition that lays the foundation for the future. Starting in June 2024, Johann Hofer will step into the role of Chief Technology Officer.

Johann Hofer brings a solid technical education and extensive experience in process and product management. Originally from Burgenland (the easternmost region of Austria), he relocated to Vorarlberg (the westernmost point of Austria) and has held various leadership roles at renowned regional companies.

As Johann Hofer now takes the helm of the technical department, Franz Dünser will continue to support Gantner as a technical consultant. With his many years of experience, he will ensure that his vast knowledge continues to benefit the company.

We are pleased to have found a capable successor in Johann Hofer and thank Franz Dünser for his tireless dedication to Gantner. One era ends, but an equally exciting new one begins.

As the new CTO at Gantner, my focus is on strong customer orientation. By emphasizing innovation and working closely with our customers, we will make product development even more agile and efficient. I'm excited to build on the strong foundation that Gantner has already established and to set new benchmarks together with our team.

Johann Hofer, CTO
