Reece has been supplying the products that make beautiful bathrooms for over 100 years. But their sights are firmly set on the future, with a 2030 vision to be ‘the trade’s most valuable partner’ and a strategy that focuses heavily on innovation.
In April 2022, Reece moved into ‘The Works’ - a modern, purpose-built Head Office in Cremorne, a part of Melbourne that attracts so many digital and high-tech businesses that it’s become known as ‘The Silicon Yarra’.

THE CHALLENGE
Reece's vision for "The Works" was to create an office that supports a modular and hybrid approach to work. Recognizing the importance of a dynamic workplace in attracting and retaining talent, the building was designed as a flexible, agile working environment that facilitates both in-office and remote work.
Employees at Reece wanted the ability to work from home while maintaining a seamless connection to the office. Many preferred cycling or using public transport to get to work and desired a safe place to store their personal items, allowing them to disconnect during off-hours for a better work-life balance.
SOLUTION
Reece has installed over 800 connected Gantner lockers across seven floors of "The Works" to meet the needs of its employees. These modern lockers can be securely and conveniently opened using keycards or wristbands, eliminating the need for traditional keys or codes. The workplace team manages the lockers centrally and can remotely open them when needed.
The lockers offer two modes: the personal mode, where lockers are assigned to individual employees, and the dynamic mode, where lockers can be shared flexibly. This solution supports hybrid work and a balanced work-life dynamic, fully aligned with Reece’s values and a modern work environment.
